Affiliate Disclosure
This site is free to read because of affiliate commissions. Here is exactly how that works, what it costs you, and what it does and does not change about what you read. The trips themselves are compared on the snorkeling tour page.
The short version
We may earn a commission if you book through one of our links, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay by going to the booking platform directly.
We are not a tour operator or a travel agency. We do not sell tours, take payments or act as an agent for any operator or platform.
Who does what
Every trip listed here is sold and operated by a third party. On this site that is currently six companies — Global Scuba LLC, MolaMola Diving Center, Pearl Dimaniyat Diving Center, MARMAR Tourism and Marine, Cruise Sea Tour and Muscat Sea Adventure — selling through one booking platform. Their name, the platform and the product ID appear on each tour page so you can check the listing yourself.
The operator runs the trip, the platform takes your payment and holds your booking, and both set the price, the inclusions and the cancellation terms. We have no authority to make commitments on their behalf and cannot change, refund or reschedule anything.
What the commission does not buy
Placement, ratings and wording are not for sale, and no operator has paid to appear here or to be described in a particular way.
The practical test is on the pages themselves. The $60 trip pays the smallest commission and is the one recommended to most visitors. The $99 trip pays the most and its page states in plain terms that it costs $39 more than the cheapest boat for the same islands and the same turtles. The most-booked listing on the site is the one whose page points out that it never mentions the reserve permit.
Ratings and reviews
Ratings and review counts are the platform's own, read on the date shown on each page — from 4.6 to 4.9, across review counts from 10 to 2,520, in August 2026. We do not calculate a site rating of our own, and this site carries no aggregate rating of its own in its markup, because the site has no reviews.
Quoted reviews keep the reviewer's first name, country and travel month as published, including the critical ones. We do not write testimonials.
Prices and fees
Prices shown are the starting prices actually charged at the time of the last check — $60 to $99 per adult as read in August 2026 — not the struck-through list prices some listings display. They move with season, group size and currency, and the price that counts is the one on the checkout page before you pay.
The reserve's own entry permit is separate from the fare: OMR 3, about $7.80, for a non-Omani adult day visit. Eight of the nine listings state it is included in their price and one does not mention it, which is recorded on each tour page. Our research process is set out in the editorial methodology.
